The ‘Wicked’ co-stars have been spotted together quite a bit since they started dating. Ariana Grande and her rumoured boyfriend Ethan Slater recently made a significant development in their relationship when they were seen going to dinner in New York City with the pop star’s father.

Images released by Page Six feature the Broadway alumni and co-stars of Wicked leaping out of a black SUV and entering a nearby Italian restaurant while Grande’s father, Ed Butera, follows. Additionally, an insider told the outlet that Slater, 31, in Spamalot on Broadway, was seen by Grande, 30, Ariana Grande father, and other friends and family.
A few days before Christmas, the singer of “Side to Side” went on an outing where she wore a black cardigan, sheer tights, fuzzy cuffs, a hat, and a miniskirt. Slater, for his part, dressed similarly in all-black athletic wear, which included a North Face jacket and Nike tennis shoes.
Butera, 65, also wore all black in the pictures, and at one point he was standing outside the business with his daughter and looked like he was pinching his finger. Grande must have thought the photo was cute because she later shared a close-up of her father’s hand and face on her Instagram Story.
The actress from Hairspray Live! invited her fans to dinner after she shared a pre-Christmas photo dump on Instagram, where many took it as a playful jab at her rumoured boyfriend.
Ariana Grande posted a photo of a Christmas tree on Thursday. The tree had an ornament shaped like a SPAM container, which appeared to be an Easter egg related to Slater’s performance in the Broadway production of Spamalot.
After Slater’s divorce from Lilly Jay and Grande’s divorce from Dalton Gomez, a source provided ET with an update on their romance back in October. The source claims that the couple is “still very excited about their relationship” and that they are “on the same page.”

The insider continued, saying that Slater—who has a son with his former partner—remains “a hands-on dad” and is “invested in developing his relationship with Ariana Grande and her family.”
“Ariana Grande’s family is, of course, protective of her,” a source close to the situation said, “but as long as she is happy and treated well, they will continue to support their relationship.”
In July, a source told ET that Grande and Gomez had called it quits on their two-year marriage, adding that they “ultimately were just not a good fit.” After announcing their engagement for five months, the couple got married in May 2021.
Slater filed for divorce from his five-year wife around the same time that TMZ reported on the matter. However, another source confirmed to ET that Slater and Grande began dating following their separation from their respective spouses.
The couple has been spotted out and about a lot since they started dating, most notably in November when Grande attended Spamalot’s opening night in support of Slater. Additionally, Grande had gone to an early showing of the show on Halloween night.
Around the same time, they posed for pictures with Andrew Rannells and Josh Gad, the stars of Gutenberg! The Musical,Backstage, Grande and Slater were also seen together.Accompanying Slater was Michael Urie, his co-star in Spamalot.
