Chris Paul and Gary Payton II injury : Against Warriors vs Kings Match at NBA Season

Although they have had generally good health thus far this season, the Golden State Warriors gave the Sacramento Kings, with whom they are fast developing a rivalry of sorts, a scare early in their Tuesday in-season tournament game. Chris Paul made his way to the team’s locker room following the first quarter of play. The second quarter began with Cory Joseph taking his place, and Paul was nowhere to be seen during the frame.

The squad declared at the beginning of the third quarter that Paul would not be coming back. The fact that the team only described the condition as lower left leg soreness, rather than disclosing its severity, suggests that it’s not a serious injury.

Chris Paul , a 19-year NBA veteran, has battled a variety of injuries throughout his career. He is currently the third-oldest player in the NBA, behind only P.J. Tucker and his close friend LeBron James. Although some Warriors supporters expressed concern when the team acquired Paul in exchange for a young guard named Jordan Poole, Chris Paul has shown no signs of injury in his brief time with the Warriors.

Let’s hope Chris Paul returns to the court soon and that this is only a small problem. Over the course of the next week or so, CP3 will have plenty of time to recover if the Warriors are eliminated from the in-season tournament—though it goes without saying that they all hope otherwise.

On Thursday, Golden State will play their first home game of the season against the Los Angeles Clippers in their new uniform.

The Golden State Warriors announced on Tuesday night that guard Chris Paul would not play in their team’s 124-123 loss to the Sacramento Kings early in the third quarter because of soreness in his lower left leg.

With 19 seconds remaining in the first quarter, Chris Paul left the game and did not come back. The exact time Chris Paul’s injury occurred is unknown.

In five minutes, the 19-year-old veteran finished with three points and two steals in the pivotal Golden State in-season tournament game.

Gary Payton II of Golden State was hurt in the second half with 49 seconds remaining in the third quarter. After the whistle, he hobbled to the locker room as the Warriors called a timeout to replace him. After that, Payton’s right calf injury kept him out of the game for the remainder of it.

With the victory, the Kings moved on to the quarterfinals of the competition.
