Zac Brown, a famous country music artist, and his wife of only four months, Kelly Yazdi, announced their divorce on Friday.
According to TMZ, the former couple announced the end of their brand new marriage in a joint statement released to the press.
“We are in the process of divorce,” they allegedly stated. They went on to say that despite their failed relationship, they still have “mutual respect for one another.”
Brown and Yazdi, according to reports, remained committed to maintaining mutual respect for one another while attempting to normalise the new territory that came with living separate lives.
“We wish each other the best and will always appreciate our time together,” they said in a statement, according to TMZ.
“As we navigate this personal matter, we simply request privacy during this time,” they allegedly wrote.
According to TMZ, the estranged couple secretly married on August 31 in Coweta County, Georgia. Their wedding took place just over a year after Yazdi was photographed with a large engagement ring on her finger.

Her return was marred by a number of changes following her brief disappearance. She had dropped Brown’s last name, and her newly reactivated bio made no mention of him. Brown’s online profile was effectively scrubbed of all photos, posts, and references, sparking breakup rumours, according to TMZ.
Brown was married for the second time. Previously, he was married to jewellery designer Shelly Brown. Their 12-year marriage ended in divorce in 2018. They were parents to five children.
Brown and Yazdi had not yet started a family.
